With regard to my home theater system upgrade (new decoder, DVD player and screen also) and I chose the plasma on the basis of the Hi-Fi, but two things like:

1. What are some good sites to explain the new technologies and functions, etc.

my existing facilities:
Samsung PS-50Q7
Wharfedale 9.1 (front and rear)
Wharfedale 9.CS
Wharfedale SW-300

I looked at the Arcam AVR350 + Pioneer DV-989AVi, but I think it is good value for money.
